Transformation Tuesday’s: Skirt to Storage Pouch by A. Renee

Out with the old, in with the new! Here we have a large pouch for all your storage needs! From an old skirt to a new travel pouch for me! This piece here can certainly double as a makeup pouch or even school supply case! You can bolo her fit that skirt, that has a terrible whole in it any way, so instead of tossing it, #TransformIt

Instructions

Step 1: Cut out 2 pieces of fabric any LxW of your choice. I chose to cut our a 12×12 piece for optimum storage. Also, you’ll need a zipper to add to your purse so make sure that matches the width.

Step 2: Once you have all your pieces cut out you want to sew, hand stich, or glue (use a hot glue gun) the edges together. To do this, place your first piece with the right side facing you, then place the second piece on top with the wrong side facing you. Proceed to attach sides leaving the top open for the zipper to be added. Once your glue has cooled and solidified or you are finished sewing, Flip your bag inside out.

Step 3: Now to add the zipper. If you do not have a sewing machine available, I strongly recommend that you hand stitch your zipper down to make for a more durable pouch. Pin down your zipper before stitching to be sure it doesn’t move during the process, proceed to add zipper.

Step 4: My favorite part, now that your bag is complete you can now decorate it any way you like! Be as creative as you dare!
